Day 2 – Huntsville, AL
We chose to make the short drive to Huntsville to see Doug’s best friend who also happens to be a friend of mine whom I grew up going to school with. He and his family live in Huntsville and have been trying to get us to come visit for a while.

We got on the road around 8:30 and were there by noon. We didn’t make any stops and Lucas did amazing. It was the longest he had ever been in his car seat with out stopping. Such a rock star. Once we got to Huntsville, we grabbed some lunch and then headed over to see our friends. The kids were gone for a couple hours so Lucas got in a quick afternoon nap before they got home.

While we only got to spend one night, we have to agree that Huntsville is beautiful. Far more beautiful than Dallas. We went to dinner with the gang to a favorite of theirs, called Noodles. Basically the entire menu is all dishes with noodles, from Italian, to chinese to Mac and cheese. It was pretty good. Once we got home and put the kids to bed, Bev and I played some cards (sequence)…. One day I will beat you, Bev 😉 Then the boys talked about… Religion, politics…pretty much the topic of most of their conversations 🙂 I hate that these two are separated by such a distance…they just feed off of each other when they are in the same room together 🙂

We finally got to stay up past 8, but by midnight I was about to turn into a pumpkin so we went to sleep. Thanks for letting the Yorks invade your house, we had a great time and hopefully we can invade again on our return trip.

I wanted a pic of all 4 of the kids together, but it looks like at least I got 3 of them…sorry JP. Lucas LOVED his play buddies

I just loved seeing Lucas’ little head while he sat still watching a movie with the big kids. He looked so much older 🙂

Alisha was the best helper and just didn’t want to say bye. As you can tell by Lucas’ grip, he didn’t want to say bye either

Thank you T’s for letting us come crash your Pad!! We will be back soon!
